

DARREN SELK
Darren Selk is a retired Law Enforcement Officer with the Mequon Police Department for the last 25 years. Darren is also an honorably discharged Marine Corp veteran working as a Military Police Officer and has worked as a Corrections Officer for the Hennepin County, MN Sheriff’s Department.
Darren is a State of Wisconsin Firearms Instructor (Handgun and patrol rifle), Concealed Carry Instructor, a Simunitions and Force on Force scenario based Training Instructor and a NRA certified Range Safety Officer.
In addition to instructing, Darren teaches Active Shooter Preparedness classes and is ALERRT (CRASE) and ALICE certified. Darren is also a Colt AR Rifle and Remington shotgun armorer.
Darren is a lifelong shooter, hunter and outdoor enthusiast who especially enjoys hunting with his two teenage daughters. He has trained law enforcement personnel and civilians alike in shooting handgun, rifle and shotgun. Darren delivers a high level of expertise in a personable manner that is youth and female friendly.

JEFF PHARRIS
Jeff Pharris brings nearly 50 years of pistol, rifle and shotgun shooting experience to The Range of Richfield. Growing up in rural Nebraska within a family of hunters he enjoyed duck, dove, pheasant, goose, quail and varmint hunting from a young age. He takes an involved and friendly approach to helping people get involved with shooting and becoming accurate shooters.
Jeff is an NRA Certified Instructor in Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Reloading, and Home Firearm Safety. Jeff is also an NRA Training Counselor, which enables him to train NRA Instructors in all the noted disciplines. In addition, Jeff is an NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officer, a Wisconsin DNR Hunter Education Instructor, and a USCCA CCW Instructor. He has been a long-time member of the Daniel Boone Conservation League and served many years on their Board of Directors.
Jeff has a background in engineering and has worked for various manufacturing firms around Milwaukee. He has participated in many firearm competitions, enjoys hunting, trap & clays shooting, handgun leagues, and sharing his extensive knowledge in shooting and firearm safety. His classes and lessons are known for being entertaining, informative, easy to follow, and youth & female friendly. Being retired, Jeff is available most anytime THE RANGE is open.

PETER GOURLIE
Peter Gourlie brings 20 plus years of shooting experience to The Range cultivated from being introduced at a young age to shooting in Northern Wisconsin. Peter enjoys all shooting sports, including trapshooting, pistol leagues and rifle leagues.
Peter has a great passion for introducing new shooters to firearms. With past credentials from USCCA, Massad Ayoob Group, and the NRA, he seeks to share his knowledge with new and intermediate shooters in classes and lessons. His passion for shooting is demonstrated in his approach to instructing and how he encourages the student to excel in their shooting skills while paying the utmost attention to safety. Peter takes this a step further with a past credential as a Glock Armorer which gives him the understanding of the mechanics of firearms and their inner workings.
Outside of the Range, Peter enjoys hunting and being outdoors and is a baseball enthusiast. He travels to Arizona every year for baseball and shooting at some of the top ranges in the country, but definitely loves to call The Range of Richfield home!

MATT LUEDKE
Matt Luedke is an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer and a (USCCA) Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals Certified Instructor. Matt also enjoys shooting sports and regularly competes in (IDPA) International Defensive Pistol Association competitions.
Matt has a passion for teaching and helping others learn about shooting sports. Matt’s goal is for students to learn, have fun, and most importantly feel safe and confident with any type of firearm they want to use. Matt has been around firearms all his life from hunting as a child to shooting various types of pistols for the last 20 plus years. Matt enjoys shooting and working on all types of firearms and has extensive experience with Modern Sporting Rifles and Shotguns as well.
When not working at the Range of Richfield Matt is a Senior Technical Specialist for GSC in Germantown. Matt is also a SOLIDWORKS instructor and has been teaching customers and presenting for over 16 years. Matt enjoys nature photography and the outdoors in his spare time and you will find him shooting whenever he gets the chance.

PAUL MILLER
Paul is a lifelong shooting enthusiast who appreciates the variety of firearms and customers he works with at the range. As an NRA-certified instructor and a range safety officer, he makes a point of getting to know both. Part of his training approach is to learn what motivates his students. With an understanding of their goals – whether it’s basic proficiency or precision shooting – he offers focused training that makes range time productive and fun.
Paul has a background in technical engineering and has also worked as a skydiving instructor and drag racing crew leader – all roles that require the same kind of discipline and safety fundamentals we teach here every day. He welcomes newcomers and seasoned shooters with instruction and drills tailored to their skill level. When he’s not on the job, Paul enjoys competitive and league shooting, hunting and fishing, horseback riding, photography, and spending time with friends and his daughter.
