Run-Hide-Fight Active Shooter Preparedness

March 15 @ 2:00 pm 3:30 pm

The threat of an active shooter event is rare but very real. Our goal is to have our students replace fear and hopelessness with preparation and readiness in the face of violence.

“Active shooter (assailant)” is a term that not too many years ago was unheard of. Now it has become an all-too-common phrase in society, news, social media and even our schools and businesses. Due to the advent of the term “Active Shooter”, and the windfall that accompanies it, it seems that it cannot be avoided.

For this reason, being properly trained for these events has become a necessary reality for everyone. With the frequency of these events and the varying locations in which the active assailant chooses to commit these heinous acts of violence, the real possibility of anyone finding themselves in the midst of an event is undeniable.
