SUMMARY:NRA Instructor Course – Pistol
DESCRIPTION:Saturday & Sunday\, February 21st & 22nd \n\n\n\n8:00 am – 5:00 pm both days (1 hour lunch break) \n\n\n\nThis 16-hour (2-Day) course teaches the knowledge\, skills and attitude essential to organizing\, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting Course. This course is presented in two parts: Basic Instructor Training\, and Pistol Specific Instructor Training. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course\, and complete an instructor certification exam. \n\n\n\nRead Full Description\n\n\n\nThis course is 8 hours of training with 6 hours of classroom and 2 hours of supervised range time. \n\n\n\nTOPICS INCLUDE: \n\n\n\n\nRules for safe gun handling\, pistol parts and operation and ammunition\n\n\n\nShooting fundamentals\, bench and two-handed standing positions\n\n\n\nBoth home and range based training drills for improving shooting\n\n\n\nCleaning of pistols\n\n\n\nSuggestions for skill development\n\n\n\n\nJeff has served many years on the Board of Directors for the Daniel Boone Conservation League and is an NRA Certified Instructor in Pistol\, Rifle\, Shotgun\, Reloading\, and Home Firearm Safety.  Jeff is also an NRA Training Counselor\, which enables him to train NRA Instructors in all the noted disciplines.  In addition\, Jeff is an NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officer\, a Wisconsin DNR Hunter Education Instructor\, and a USCCA CCW Instructor.
