SUMMARY:Getting to Know Your AR-15
DESCRIPTION:8:00 am – Noon both days \n\n\n\nGoals of This Course: This course seeks to convey a comprehensive foundation of knowledge about the AR-15 rifle such that the owner gains complete confidence in their ability to safely operate and maintain this firearm.  To gain this level of comfort the student will learn in a classroom setting a brief history of its development\, its design and operating principles\, ammunition design and types\, basic ballistics and calibers\, maintenance\, and optics and accessories. \n\n\n\nThe student will leave knowing how to zero their weapon\, a firm foundation of basic marksmanship concepts and confidence to hit targets from the bench rest and standing positions.  A Rifle Shooting handbook is included in the course as well as a course completion certificate. \n\n\n\nWho Should Take This Class: Students not yet AR-15 owners\, new AR-15 owners\, or those who have never had a formal introduction to the AR-15 – or formal training in rifle marksmanship\, will benefit from this course. \n\n\n\nThis course consists of two four-hour sessions on consecutive weekend mornings.  It includes classroom and range time.  Students are asked to bring their own rifle and 50-100 rounds of ammunition. \n\n\n\nCost: $200 Per Student \n\n\n\nClass Size: 12 \n\n\n\nInstructor: Jeff Pharris
